specializes in working with individuals struggling with anxiety disorders,
depression and mood disorders, trauma, low self-esteem, anger issues,
parenting, child and adolescent behavior problems, lack of social skills, issues
related to aging, life transitions, adjustment disorders, and relationship
obtained her Master of Arts in Professional Counseling from Amberton University.
She is a multilingual counselor with four years of experience in the mental
health field. She is fluent in English, Bengali, Hindi, and Urdu.
Her experience includes counseling in her native country Bangladesh for more than three years where she provided therapy for disenfranchised women and children suffering from PTSD and trauma at a Government funded project. In addition, Mownita has provided crisis intervention and stress management with the European Commission Project.
Mownita helps her clients to alliviate the pain they experience during a
life-changing moment and gain freedom from suffering. Her objective is to help clients discover healthy ways to deal with changes and
bring their life into focus to develop greater empowerment,
peace, and self-motivation. She helps her clients find meaning and purpose in their
lives and broaden their perspective. Her desire is to help her clients unlock
their ultimate potential, learn new skills for solving their difficulties, and
experience the power of therapy with safety and efficiency.
